With our indoor sessions concluding\, we need the full participation of the Learn to Sail class to get our Flying Scot fleet launched and rigged. \nSplash Day is your first opportunity to master rigging the boats you will be helming all summer. Rigging is a fundamental skill; mastering these basics now ensures future sessions are spent on advanced maneuvers and more time on the water. The boats cannot be launched from their trailers without your help. Once the fleet is afloat\, our outdoor instruction begins. Please join us to get the season underway.

DESCRIPTION:The Learn to Sail Class will begin on-the-water instruction May 7 and continues every Thursday through the rest of the season. Classes start at 6 pm but early birds are welcome. Sailing on the Detroit River and Lake St. Clair is an incredible experience\, but the Great Lakes are famous for their “mood swings.” In May\, the air might feel like spring\, but the water is still cold enough to steal your body heat in minutes so dress appropriately. \n⏱️ If you just realized you have class tonight\, grab these 5 things and run: \n\nA Windbreaker/Rain Jacket (Even a cheap one).\nSneakers (No open toes!).\nWater Bottle.\nSunglasses.\nA Spare Change of Clothes (Keep these in your car in case you get wet).
